I had a lot of fun during LA Fashion Week!

img_9999

I had the pleasure of being invited to a Gen Art fashion show downtown this month in celebration of LA fashion week. The featured designers were GRAI, Society of Rational Dress, and Raquel Allegra and it was an excellent show. Meanwhile, for those of you who might not be familiar, Gen Art is the leading arts and entertainment organization dedicated to showcasing emerging fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians and visual artists.  They do great work and I love going to their events! And as if that wasn’t enough, Gen Art VP (and friend) Jeff Abramson asked me to walk the red carpet to take some photos and to do a few interviews about the radio biz, voicing “Street Fighter 4″, and other fun stuff. It was really great.

…And in case you’re wondering, this good looking guy in this good looking shirt next to me is my very good friend Brian who has an awesome t-shirt line called called “You are so Famous” that can be found at youaresofamous.com. (*For bonus points, there is even a picture of me modeling one of the shirts on his site…see if you can find it!)

It was a great night! Thanks again to Jeff and the whole Gen Art crew!

The new “Single Life with Sam Phillips”!

Along with being part of the new “Conway and Whitman Podcast show”, doing weekly voice overs for Premier Radio Networks’ comedy department and a few doezen other things, I am currently producing the new “Single Life” radio show for former KLSX host Sam Phillips! Sammy has now packed up her Saturday night call-in vehicle and taken it over to Cable Radio Networks. This funny and sexy radio show airs every Saturday night from 8pm-12am pst on CRN1 on your cable tv, as well as in the “Single Life” chat room on Paltalk.com run by me! Meanwhile, it’s simultaneously being filmed as a TV show for MavTV due to come out later this year!

It’s a great show with a lot of quirky celebrity guests and we’d love for YOU to be part of it! Call in LIVE every Saturday night 1-800-336-2225 and add YOUR 2 cents to topics like sex, dating, and relationships…It’s a lot of fun!! (pictures coming soon).

It’s Daemon Hatfield, Charles Onyett, Greg Miller, and Ryan Geddes this week. We are joined by Gina Grad, the voice of Rose in Street Fighter IV. Not only does she fill us in on what it’s like to be in one of this year’s biggest games, she provides a female perspective on our new dating advice segment.

More topics:

M-rated games are “forbidden fruit” to kids.

Greg and Daemon almost come to blows discussing the DS vs. the PSP.

Midway is looking to unload the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Plus, lotsa reader mail.

Please to enjoy!

The Conway and Whitman Show Reunion!

So as many of you have heard, former radio partners (and my former bosses) Tim Conway Jr. and Brian Whitman got together this week to reunite on Brian’s podcast.

The whole team was together again (Tim, Brian, Randy and myself) and had a great (and a somewhat uncomfortable time) reliving old times and answering questions that had remained a mystery to listeners for a very long time.

Though Brian’s podcasts require a paid subscription fee of $5/month (totally worth it), this particular podcast is available FREE OF CHARGE at www.timconwayjr.com!

So take a listen to this little piece of radio history…I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

xoxo,

g

P.S. For those of you who have been missing your daily dose of Tim Conway Jr., be sure to tune into 790AM here in Los Angeles for the next few weeks as he fills in for Al Rantell.  (Tim is flying solo on this one, so no “Gino”, but stay tuned…I should have news for ya soon!)  ;)
